5 Known Foods That Will Help Prevent Early Death

Our health is more important than anything else. It is the one thing that helps us accomplish every other activities that we undertake throughout our lives. On earlier post we talked about foods that will make you live longer according to Ayurveda lifestyle, today we want to talk about foods that will prevent you from attracting diseases thus make you live longer. Two different topics that co-relate with each other.

These foods we are about to mention will help you fight and reduce risks of being diagnosed with cancer, diabetes and heart disease related illness.

Foods that will keep diseases at bay hence live longer

#1 Berries. Berries are rich in antioxidants such as vitamin E, C and A. Berries which have high concentrate of these oxidants include strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Apart from their sweetness, these berries helps in lowering blood pressure, preventing certain types of cancer,  reduces diabetes risks and stroke.

#2 Nuts. Nuts are everywhere. From supermarkets to streets you'll see people selling them. Maastricht University in Holland has approved the eating of nuts every single day as a measure to saving life. Nuts such as peanut and ground nuts helps you fighting chances of suffering from diabetes, cancer, heart diseases, respiratory and neurodegenerative diseases. Mind you peanut butter is not pure peanuts. The sugar and fatty acid prevents it from achieving its natural way to fight certain diseases.

#3 Tea. It is believed tea has been used for over 5 millennium years ago. Boil water, add tea leaves and prevent yourself from certain ailments. With these practice, scientists from Academy of Nutrition and Diabetics have come up with the following conclusion;  black tea reduces risks of heart attack, and green tea  helps in lowering bad cholesterol and triglyceride and promoting good cholesterol levels. Apart from that, tea is also associated with aiding weight loss.

#4 Flaxseeds. Flaxseed has become a household name. Recently it has been widely used because of its abundant health benefits. Flaxseed is known to have nutrients such as selenium, thiamin, magnesium and manganese. Although scientists are yet to fully discover the greatness of these seeds, the dietary fiber content in them helps in lowering the risk of colorectal cancer.

#5 Legumes. Legumes include peas, beans and lentils. Legumes can be an alternative for meat to the vegetarians because they contain high amount of protein. Nutrients found in legumes include iron, folate, magnesium, protein and others. According to a 2012 study, legumes help in controlling blood sugar and also reduce heart risks to people with type 2 diabetes.
